Lakshman Bala is a multi-talented artist who excels in singing, composing, and directing music. His parents noticed his talent at an early age and supported his musical aspirations.
Lakshman Bala began honing his skills as a bhajan singer and later expanded his repertoire to include ghazals. Over the past fifteen years, he has performed concerts in India and abroad, showcasing his exceptional musical abilities.
During a recent trip to Holland, Lakshman Bala performed a series of Sai Bhajans to great acclaim. His music has also received international recognition, with some of his songs being aired on BBC Radio's London-based bhajan section regularly. Many of his performances have been telecast on various TV channels, and his bhajan concerts were recorded and telecast regularly on Raj TV. Raghu, Lakshman Bala's younger brother, has produced several of his
Sai Bhajan Albums, which remain popular in that genre to this day. Lakshman Bala feels fortunate to have recorded a Sai Bhajan Album in Mumbai with Ghazal Samrat Shri Jagjit Singh's musicians, which remains one of his favorite albums and is popular in that circle. He has also conceptualized many of his music albums, penning the lyrics, composing the music, directing music, and rendering his voice for several Spiritual centers, which are still popular today.
Lakshman Bala considers himself blessed to have worked alongside music legends such as the Ghazal Samrat Padma Bhushan Late Shri. Jagjit Singh, Bhajan Samrat Padmashree Anup Jalota, Ghazal Singer Padmashree Ms. Penaz Masani, Shri. Ajit Khadkade, Shri Mohammad Vakil,
and the legendary playback singer from the south, Padmashree and Padma Bhushan
Shri.S.P.Balasubramanyam, Padmashree. Dr. Yella Venkateswara Rao, Padmashree. Sivamani, Smt. Manjula Gururaj, Late Shri. C.Ashwath, Late Shri.Raju Ananthaswamy, and Smt. Archana Udupa. These musicians have played a significant role in his musical journey.
Later, Lakshman Bala had the opportunity to compose and direct music for a few popular Kannada TV serials. He also sang the title track of these serials alongside Smt. Archana Udupa and the Late Shri. Raju Ananthaswamy. Additionally, he composed and directed background music for a few plays.
Currently, Lakshman Bala is occupied with his Bhajan and Ghazal concerts.
